War and Beauty

Watched till episode 13 liao. Saving the last 2 episodes I have with me so I can spend time watching it tmr. Otherwise, I won't have anything to do.

Anyway, episode 11-13 was kan cheong~! I watched all back-to-back. I mean, who wouldn't? You're right, Shi Leng. Maggie Cheung's character is a bit the stupid. I understand she wants to protect those under her and do not want to harm anyone, but she risked her life~ Then she got bethrothed to the stupid elderly eunuch because of her reluctance in revealing Charmaine Sheh's identity, which could have been prevented if she js cooperated with Sheren Tang.

Actually, this eunuch marrying part doesn't make sense. He is a eunuch~! Why does he need to marry? And he doesn't want Maggie Cheung to have contact with the guys. Then he asked his nephew (who works in the palace, but ain't a eunuch) to rape her for "disobeying" him and "flirt" with Moses Chan and the other guy. If that eunuch wasn't a eunuch, I would've love to castrate him.

Then there's the case between Gigi Lai and Charmaine Sheh. Finally~! They're no longer "chi mui" and they no longer have to put on a show in front of each other. Sheeesh.. all this jealousy, betrayal, conspiracy... all just to get the emperor's attention and power. I think of all characters, the emperor should be the one killed. He is, after all.. the root of all this. No useless emperor, no war between concubines. But then again, there'll be no "war and beauty" then :p

And Charmaine Sheh is falling for Bowie Lam now. Still think he's too old for her and Gigi Lai. Oh... off screen, apparently Bowie Lam and Gigi Lai are dating. Hmmm...
