It's "tong yuen" or "tang yuan" (whichever dialect you prefer la) day today. Ever since entering uni, I haven't had the chance to help make or eat them. Not that I'm that much of a fan of "tong yuens" but, you'd only get to eat it once a year right? So yeah... I thought it'll be the same this year. But...

After table tennis training yesterday (which ended about 9pm), I went back to the room and noticed a stainless steel mug-like thingy on my table. No one was in the room but myself and there wasn't any msg left for me. Since it's on my table, I assumed it was mine and so I opened it and tadaaaa~! Tong Yuen~!! Curious as to who might have made it for me... I opened my yahoo messenger list and went through each and everyone's statuses.

I know there could be only a few I know who could've made tong yuen:
(a) Sue Yen (she did after all made red bean soup that day and gave some to me *yummy*)
(b) Yen Yen (my ex-roommate who's been oh-so-nice to me by giving me "seremban siu pau" once in awhile, or tarts or other food)

Yen Yen's status on YM read. "who wans tong yuen?" or stg liddat.... so it was kinda obvious that she made them lor. I buzzed her and true enough, she left tong yuen for May Ling and I. She made it with gula melaka, something which I've not tried before and it was D-E-L-I-C-O-U-S~! It's just so nice to eat something out of the ordinary in campus than the usual food around here. Thank goodness I go back every weekend. Still can eat "normal" food. I can't imagine how those who's not local and won't go back home till long breaks can tahan. So deprived of good food.... :P

Anyway, it's Jiin's birthday yesterday too. At the stroke of midnight (after Tuesday), Charng, Chu and Vivien came to Ling and my room with a cake, and walked over to Jiin and Yin's room (Jiin and Yin lives opposite our room). We stood outside her room singing the birthday song. Cut the cake, eat the cake, talk, made Jiin dress up a bit and pose of some photos.

Then, yesterday night Jiin and the rest went clubbing near Pyramid. They did ask me, but I didn't go la. Me and crowded places with loud music is a no-no. Not that I don't listen to loud music, but having music played as loud as those in clubs.... cannot la. Sorry ya, Jiin :"> Oh yeah, Jiin has posted a few pics in her blog. You wanna see them all dressed up and made up, click here.

I just spoke to one of the juniors from uni on YM. Man, some people are just arrogant. Can't understand these kinda people. Arrogant, self-centered, rude, think of themselves to be helluva smart... it's like the world revolves around them and what they want is what they'll get. Sheeeeeesssshhh, GROW UP~!
